What is MCP?
An open standard that lets coding AIs use outside tools. YellowBoard offers an MCP server, so your coding AI can read and update the plan.
Which coding tools work with it?
Claude Code (in VS Code or the terminal), Cursor, and any tool that supports MCP servers.
Does YellowBoard see my code?
No. The AI sends comments, status changes and links to commits. Your code stays in your repository.
Can the AI change the plan on its own?
It can comment, move a story to Building or In review, and add upkeep items. Everything else is a suggestion until a person accepts it.
Do I need to use AI at all?
No. You can write everything yourself and use YellowBoard as a plain planning board.
Is YellowBoard a project management tool?
No. It is where you decide what to build and plan releases. It does not track hours or sprints.
Can I bring an existing product?
Yes. Add your landing page, documents or screenshots, and the AI lists the features you already have.
