Controller

The controller for data processing under the GDPR is the entity named in the imprint. For any privacy-related enquiries please use the contact details listed in the imprint.

Feedback form

This website has one form: the feedback form for our apps. There is no newsletter and no registration. Apart from the form, contact is possible via the email address listed in the imprint.

When you send the form, we store your message, the kind of message, the date and time, the language of the form and, if you give one, your email address. Your IP address is not stored with the message. If you open the form from the “Send feedback” button of an app, the link also carries the app's version and build number; these are stored with your message.

We use this to read your feedback, to improve the apps and, if you gave an address, to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving our software and in answering enquiries). The data is stored on our own server and is not passed on. We delete a message when it is no longer needed for these purposes; you may ask for deletion at any time, using the contact details in the imprint.

Server log files

When you access this website, our hosting provider temporarily processes technical data in server log files for the purpose of technical delivery and security. This typically includes the IP address, date and time, the URL accessed, the referrer URL, and information about your browser and operating system.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website). This data is not combined with other data sources. Log files are deleted or anonymised after a short period.

Download count

When you download one of our apps from this website, we store that the download took place: the date and time, the app and its version, and the IP address the download came from. We use this to count downloads and to tell real downloads apart from automated and repeated ones. No cookie is set and no script runs in your browser for this.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in knowing how often our software is downloaded and in recognising misuse). The data is stored on our own server, is not passed on to third parties and is not combined with other data, in particular not with purchases or license keys. There is no fixed deletion period; you may object to the processing or ask for deletion at any time, using the contact details in the imprint.

Cookies, tracking and analytics

This website does not use cookies, tracking, or analytics tools (in particular no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no Plausible). Your choice of language is part of the page address and is not stored.

No third-party content or scripts are embedded: no Google reCAPTCHA, no social-media plugins and no external font service. The fonts are delivered by this website itself.

Contact via email

If you contact us by email, the information you provide (email address, name, content of your message) is processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (responding to your request).

We do not share this data with third parties without your consent and delete it as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of handling your enquiry, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.

The Short Video Studio app

This policy covers this website. The Short Video Studio app for Mac works without an account: your brands, ideas and videos are stored on your Mac and are not sent to us.

When you activate or remove a Premium license key, the app sends the key to Lemon Squeezy, the reseller that sold it, to check it. Nothing else is sent, and the key is not checked again afterwards.

When you use the app's AI features, your Mac sends the texts and files needed for the request directly to the AI provider whose model you chose, using your own API key. We do not receive this data. Its processing is governed by your agreement with that provider.

The Discrity app and its shop

The Discrity app has its own privacy policy, linked from the Discrity page.

Licenses for Discrity are sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller. The link on the Discrity page leads to their pages, where the purchase takes place under their privacy policy. This website itself loads nothing from them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right at any time to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

For any privacy-related questions or to exercise your rights, please contact us via the details in the imprint.
